DINERO E IMPUESTOS?

La moneda oficial de Colombia es el Peso Colombiano (COP).

Aunque algunos establecimientos y lugares turísticos aceptan dólares, es recomendable llevar siempre pesos colombianos a la mano (evitar llevar mucho), o tarjetas de crédito habilitadas para uso internacional. *Recomendamos mas sacar dinero de ATMs que hacer cambio de moneda en casas de cambio ya que por el ATM se aplica la tasa cambiaria oficial de los bancos que es mucho mejor. *Es bueno tener en cuenta también que en la mayoría de ciudades y pueblos los taxis no aceptan TC y que muchos establecimientos pequeños tienen un monto mínimo para permitir pago con TC (aunque suele ser poco).

En Colombia, los impuestos sobre compras de bienes o servicios se llama IVA (oscila entre el 5% -20% del valor del producto o servicio). Para los extranjeros, Colombia tiene exención o devolución de impuestos por la compra de los siguientes artículos: paquetes turísticos, alimentos, artesanías, joyería artesanal, confecciones, calzado, marroquinería, perfumería, juguetería, y electrodomésticos (para extranjeros y colombianos residentes en el exterior). Para recibir esta devolución se debe ir a las oficinas de la DIAN ubicadas en los aeropuertos. *Se deben llevar las facturas de venta de los bienes o servicios, pasaporte, y una copia (fotocopia/scan) del mismo.
